a tale of a few cities

Manger à La Fermette Marbeuf, Paris

Posted in gastronomy, paris by petercombe on November 12, 2008

Our missed Air France connection at Charles de Galle provided us with a brief visit to Paris. We shuttled into the city of light and disembarket at l’Arc de Triomphe and walked down the Avenue des Champs-Elysees, stopped for a drink along the way then turned on to Avenue Montaigne towards the Seine in the 8th arrondissement, a cobalt blue vista before us – la Tour Eiffel.

We turned right onto Avenue George V and it was there after musing over several options in the neighbourhood that we settled on a restaurant, La Fermette Marbeuf, a Belle Epoch masterpiece on the Rue Marbeuf.
