Mekanism Skateboards, along with artist Olafur Eliasson, he of The Weather Project> , Tate Modern, 16 October 2003 – 21 March 2004, London, UK, have unveiled a new skateboard called “Your Mercury Ocean” that is made of 13-ply boards with a chrome finish, the top and bottom of the decks have a silver reflective upper. The artist also reworked the upper structure of the board into a 3D structure. The various levels on the board, give the impression of a wave pattern. The artist worked on overall 90 skatedecks, as well as 10 artist proofs and 10 exhibition pieces.

I don’t skate, yet would love this as a piece of art mounted on a wall at home.
